12/29/2007 '三国交界'小游We are lucky to have some lovely winter days here in Netherlands during this Christmas break. Seeing Dutch families all going out for vocations, we thought we’d be extremely regretful staying home. So we picked the sunniest day of the week, got on bus, and headed to ‘drielandpunt’
Located at the southeasternmost edge of the country, ‘drielandpunt’ is ‘three-country point’ in English, the summit where three countries meet. You can probably guess it right- Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. Interestingly, it’s also the highest point in Netherlands. Ironically enough, the highest people in the world are living in a country where the highest point is only 322 meters high. NL:netherlands B:belgium D:germany
The pillar is really nothing impressive. But the wheather report was right. Though chilly still, we kept greedily breathe the golden winter sun, as it was the best thing in life.
Traveling and eating are great compliments!
A random shoot turns out to be a perfect one. I like the play of light and shadow.
